[ISzcz] 5620a136c3e0790c2e3a56463ca444ff07d9979dc0eba58 [/1]. There seems to be a flood of similar like posts in various groups. Some are gigs in size. This particular one is from the astronomy ng. The subjects are constantly changing as is the author so it's impossible to set up a filter, at least as far as I know.
Can you give some message-IDs? Without seeing several there's no way for anyone to suggest a filter based on commonality.
Lemme see if I can find some message-IDs. My knowledge of filters other than the very basic is limited.
Here's an example: <CmVmOwQuAvKeMwSvFgRaWsEe-1584350254260@nyuu> They are all different but the only commonality is the @nyuu, and the posts cover a wide range of un-related newsgroups.
Then you can set up a filter "Message ID contains @nyuu"
OK. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
EDIT: didn't work. I'll give it another try. Any, Message ID, Contains, @nyuu, Delete
EDIT: can't filter out any of the messages. Nothing seems to work. Most frustrating.
Make sure you set Apply to "Files and messages" or "Files only".
With the filter enabled, try resetting the subscription and get the headers again.
The filter should look like this (for filtering @nyuu):
Andre
That's what I did but did not reset the subscription. I'll give that a try. Oh, btw, every time I reply here, I get the "You do not have permission to do that" error message, even though I am able to reply and have my post go through.
The permission issue pops up here also.
Resetting the subscription worked for the "@nyuu" posts but the poster(s) changes the Message ID every few days so a new filter needs to be made each time so it's almost impossible to keep up. I've complained to Easynews and they said they would inform the provider but that will probably go nowhere.
Typing this I've received 4 permission errors.
Otto Typing this I've received 4 permission errors.
The permission errors should be fixed now. If not, try to logout/login again.
Andre Not working for me despite logging out and then logging in.

Yup, works.
Ok. I just logged out and back in again and the error message seems to have gone away. Now, back to working on my other issue....
OK for me now on the second attempt 🙂
