Highlighting your own posts

As Alan suggested, highlighting your own posts in the thread view is a nice addition.
However, what is the best technic to recognise your own post?

1) The most simple way is to compare the poster name with your profiles.

PRO: Exchangeable between other newsreaders as long as you use the same name and email.
CON: When you change your profile, your posts are no longer recognised.
CON: Someone with the same profile will also be marked as your post.

2) Store the message-id in the database.

PRO: Guarantee that the post is yours and not linked to your profiles.
CON: Not exchangeable between other newsreaders.
CON: Message-id must be generated by Usenapp and not all news servers might accept that.
CON: Postings from older Usenapp versions or other clients are not recognised.

3) Your idea?
..

How do you want your own postings to be displayed?
1) Your name in a different colour?
2) An asterisk as prefix?
3) Italic font?
4) Something else

I would go with name / email -- which means forgers will sneak in but it is simple to understand. Have always gone with a different color (and marking them read) but I can see where italics might work, too.

Would also like to colorize other posts. Hey, people set to be orange are iffy and those set to be red should be responded to only very rarely!

Compare poster name with own profile seems best to me. If someone uses the same profile then at least it will be visible to you.

Added to v0.68.

Own posts are in a different colour and in italics.
You can change the colour yourself.

That looks good :-) Of course it does mean that, if people use several Usenet clients, they will need to keep their profiles consistent.

Indeed. It checks on "Name <email>".
