fetch headers/articles from leafnode nntp-server does not work? (how to debug?)

Hi,
I'm using Usenapp Version 0.65.6 (151).

I connect to a leafnode nntp server in the local lan. I am able to successfully test the connection. Also choosing "Add subscription", I see the available newsgroups and the number of articles listed.
But when I subscribe to a newsgroup, the fetching of headers does not work. It simply starts downloading and never finishes - even when I set the number of headers from the default 25k to 10.

I am able to access the leafnode server from other clients like MacSOUP or Thunderbird. I am also able to access other nntp server from Usenapp. Only the combination Usenapp<->leafnode does not work.

Any idea how to debug this?

I started to download again (set prefetch to "1" header/article):

Shortly afterwards I "Cancel downloading"...

Thanks for the log file.
It seems the server does not return the requested article header after the xover command:XOVER 955-955
The result is that Usenapp keeps on asking for the article, which it shouldn't do.

I'll try to fix this issue in upcoming release.

Does this happen for every request to each newsgroup or is this incidental?

This happens for every request to each newsgroup. On the server side I just activated the debug mode.
The following is logged (over and over again):

So, I think, there is no "XOVER 955-955" command sent? Instead again a group command.

When I connect from MacSoup, the log looks for example like:

Unfortunately I do not know leafnode that good...

One difference I notice in the leafnode answer to the GROUP command is the suffix " group selected". This is not sent by other nntp servers I guess...

I'll install leafnode myself to locate the issue.
Are you using leafnode 1 or 2?

V0.66 is released and should have fixed this issue.
