Feature req: Apply Rules menu/button somewhere

Probably just an Apply Rules entry under Article/Rules?

I made some changes to an existing rule and didn't apply it at that point, then discovered there isn't another way to do it (or at least not obviously so, I may be being blind)

Select the rule and click "Apply Selected" or do you mean something else?

That's what I did but it's four clicks deep and in Prefs, which isn't where I'd expect the only place for such an operation to be performed.

Where would you rather have seen it?

Under the Article menu I guess, at the bottom - it doesn't warrant being a UI button and cluttering the interface.

The context menu in the Subscriptions panel has a choice to open de Rules editor.
Is that what you are looking for?

That's an interesting point. Since the "Rules" entry is in the "Article" menu, I wouldn't have thought to look in the right-click on Subs. Consistency issue? Are rules sub or article focused?

I'd still like an "Apply Rules" straight after the "Rules" (which should probably be "Rules..." because it opens a panel) menu entry, whether that's in Articles or gets moved to Subscriptions for consistency. Or maybe a new Tools menu at this rate, alongside ROT13 and Local Search and the forthcoming Global Search you mentioned in the search thread.

For now I'll move the menu item "Rules" to the Subscriptions menu for consistency.
A submenu with all rules to apply will come later.
