Signature delimiter incorrect

I note previous correspondence saying this had been corrected. I am using the latest version of Usenapp, 1.27.2, in os x 14.3 Sonoma. Whether I just include the text of my signature or my own correct delimiter the space after the two dashes is omitted in the message I compose and in the published message when I post it. It may or not be relevant but if I attempt to include a blank line between the delimiter and the signature text, or if I start with a blank line in the signature composition box this is stripped off too.

Is this a general problem or is it just my set up? I have other problems, including pauses (with beachball) lasting several seconds before ordinary operations like going to next message or scrolling, and others. If it is just my setup, is there a recommended way of reinstalling Usenapp without carrying over errors? I seem to have more than one version in the folder.

You can reset Usenapp to the factory defaults as described in the tutorial:

Thanks. Done (should my computer have 10 copies of com.xoroxsoft.usenapp?). Runs a lot faster with much less locking up. But all white space is still stripped from my signatures, including the space after the dashes.
