Connection error: Unknown server response

On both an Intel and M1 Mac I see “Connection error: Unknown server response” with Giganews. I’m using the latest version (1.25.3)

I switched to a M1 iMac, but still the same error. I checked login and connections, but it must be Usenapp doing something not OK.

NZBVortex3 and SABnzd work fine.

Any idea ? Think I have seen someone reporting the same bug earlier this year, but it was apparently fixed. Think it started when Ventura came out.

On my old Intel Mac, it sometimes worked when you tried restart (reload) a few times.

(machine: 24″ iMac with 16 GB, 12 GB cache for Usenapp, macOS Ventura 13.1, connection: KPN fiber 1 Gbps)

If you use a VPN, try without the VPN (as a test).

Also turn on the socket debugger in Usenapp and send me the output at usenapp@xoroxsoft.com.

1) Socket debugger: Preferences->Download->Advanced
2) Restart Usenapp
3) Try to connect
4) Open de logfile: File->Open Logfile

Thanks for the log file.
I found the problem, which is the response code from the server: 439 (error finding article) which is not being caught by Usenapp.

This will be fixed in the next Usenapp release.
