NZB Search with DrunkenSlug API, "Error: not a Newznab server"

Not sure if it’s a bug.

Searching with indexer DrunkSlug API was working (until a couple of days ago, if I recall correctly). It was setup as an NZB indexer with:

server url: https://drunkenslug.com/api
api key: [insert api key]

If I search in the browser using URL like https://drunkenslug.com/api?t=search&q=test&apikey=[insert api key], it returns results in XML.

I tried another indexer (NZBGeek, which Usenapp reports “successfully”) using a similar URL https://api.nzbgeek.info/api?t=search&q=test&apikey=[insert api key], and it’s also returning results in XML.

Why search is not successful with DrunkenSlug?

I think my URL and API key are correct, tried to delete the indexer and re-add, but still getting the error like this.

I don’t know a solution so quickly either, since it just works for me, but I’ll see if I can come up with something.

Via the following link you can download a private beta that has the possibility to display the ‘server response’ of the Newznab test.

Would you like to download and install it? And then do a new test for DrunkenSlug and email me the server response?

Hey Andre,

I tried with the beta version, and can see response from DrunkenSlug drunkenslug.com needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding..

Seems they introduced some security measures and my API calls weren’t successful with a VPN turned on. I changed to another VPN service and it’s working now.
