Can't write any text when trying to post a message

If I’m in a newsgroup and want to post my own message, I click on the new message icon at the top. A new window comes up pre-populated with my identity and the newsgroup I’m currently in. However, if I click in the editor box at the bottom of the window and try to type something I get only the error beep (but no error message). I can attach files for posting but cannot type a text message at all. I’ve been able to do this previously.

Click on the first line of the editor (at the top left) and the cursor should appear.
If not, please let me know.

If I don’t click on anything when the new message window pops-up then the cursor is in the window and you and type there. If I do click in the message editor the cursor goes away and it will not come back. Trying to type at that point results in the error beep.

Usenapp version 1.24.3 has fixed some issues in the message editor.
Probably also the problem you ran into.
