Downloads disappearing?

I’m having a weird problem with version 1.17. When I try to download things from nzb files, they will start downloading fine, and the temporary files will appear in the appropriate download folder (file name with a .usn extension). But as they complete downloading, they just disappear. I end up with an empty folder. I’ve tried various settings in the Repair and Extract tab in the download preferences, none seem to fix this. Any ideas?

Then the file probably no longer exists on the news server.

USN files are temporary containers in which the downloaded data is stored. Once the file is complete, this container is renamed to the original filename.

However, if the file is not complete, the data in the container is used by the PAR files. But if no PAR files are present and the data cannot be used in any other way, the container is deleted.

That’s what you probably noticed.

Thanks, that’s most likely what is happening, as it doesn’t seem to do it all the time.
