I found this in a Usenet Group: "Usenapp vs. Hogwasher; I’m trying them both, and they both have merits. Usenapp seems to have more
advanced controls available to the user, while Hogwasher seems a bit easier
and more intuitive.
My two chief laments for both of them, though, is that neither of them have
Unison’s grouping capabilities, where one folder contains all the files in
that post. It seems they display each file individually. I find that a bit
annoying. I hope it’s just a checkbox I have to click somewhere that groups
everything together, and I just haven’t found it yet.
The other lament is the lack of an in-line image display when clicking on a
filename. To be able to see an image whether of a photo or the cover of a pdf
is a huge advantage over downloading what may be content I am not interested
in or don’t want.
I am still undecided, but I have to close my eyes and decide soon as my trial
for Usenap is coming to an end in a day or so. Hogwasher for me is free.
Does anyone have thoughts as to one over the other?
