Does MegaSearch cache downloads?

MegaSearch sometimes reports files listed in a search as having been downloaded when I know for sure that they have not been by me. This is particularly noticeable when such files were posted recently at a time when my computer was shut down, so clearly it was not I doing the downloading! Since as far as I know I'm the only one using MegaSearch on my license, I'm wondering what might be happening?

When you download a file in MegaSearch or from the Newsreader, the hash of this file is placed in a local database. All results from MegaSearch and newreader are always compared against these hashes and once a match is found, they are marked as downloaded.

In other words, if a file is marked as 'downloaded', it has already been downloaded once on that Mac from MegaSearch or the newsreader.
