Usenet.Farm problem

I added a second server, Usenet.Farm, and made it the primary server, using Astraweb as a filler. "Test server" for Usenet.farm gives the all clear but I can't get it to download the newsgroup list. Connection status alternates between "downloading" and "no response". Here's what the Log File says:

No problem with Astraweb.
I have used the same server settings for Usenet.Farm that I use in Unison.

I've created a trail and did some testing, but it seems that usenet.farm is extremely slow when asking for their newsgroup list and takes almost a minute for the server to response.

Not just from Usenapp, but also if you connect to their server using telnet.

I don't know if they have an issue at the moment or if that is their normal behaviour, but it's not normal.

Anyway, what you can do is to increase the socket timeout setting to 30 seconds or a minute.
You can find this setting in Usenapp->Preferences->Download->Advanced.

I advise you to change this settings back to 10 seconds after you've successfully downloaded the newsgroups list from this provider.

There might still be a small problem with the GROUP command when requesting new or more headers from the server.

I just saw that this GROUP command ends with a double CRLF which is not compliant with the RFC.
In other words, the server might return with an error "Unsupported command".

What you can do in case you run into this, is hit the same button again and that will probably work.

This will be fixed in the next release.

You're an ace.
By the way, when I tried to post to a newsgroup using News.Farm as the server and before the group list was loaded, the group list window would pop up, stall, and posting was impossible. Now that the group list is downloaded all is working fine.
