Read means read everywhere

It would be nice if I read a message in one group that was crossposted to several groups, if all those messages in all groups would be marked as read.
Should be easy to find because they all have the same message ID.
As it is now I encounter the same messages that I have already read in other groups, so I have to read them again.
(Not a priority, but nice to have.)

It is the only thing that I am really missing. (And I think others have asked about it too somewhere.)

Being able to create a folder and to group like subscriptions might solve that: the Hog lets me group iPx subs together. Posts appear only once in the folder, regardless of any crossposting.

That does not guarantee that all crossposted groups are in your folder.

I’m surprised this isn’t a built-in feature. Having to re-read messages already read in another newsgroup can become tedious, especially in very active threads.

Any idea when we might expect this feature to be added in the future?
