Threading pane broken (Big Sur)

I should mention this is still broken after the restart and cmd-d's from the other thread 🙂

Can you do me a favour and reboot your iMac to see if that has any influence.

Unfortunately also no change after a reboot.

If no-one else is seeing it, I'm happy to blame this on BS and park it - I'll let you know if it becomes fixed with a beta update.

Is the threading pane blanc for just one thread or all threads?

All threads. The structure is always right, but no labels.

1) Started since you installed 0.78.2?
2) If you open the threads pane all the way to the right, do the labels appear somewhere?
3) Change the layout from Classic View to Vertical View and see what happens.

1) First noticed in 0.78.2, but I don't usually have the thread view visible. I'll Time Machine back and see if I can find a start version for it tomorrow. Or, do you have the older versions available in an easy to get way? Would be quicker than using TM repeatedly.
2) No labels even at as close to full screen width as possible
3) Still no labels in vertical view

A few more tests:

1) Change the sort order field and see if anything appears.

2) Open the article in a new window (double click from main tableview)

1) Only article icons show in the other orders than Thread+

Oh, that's with 0.78.3 btw. I've not had the free time to revert back to older versions.

Just checked back to 0.78.0 (thanks for the link), that shows the same issue on Big Sur beta 2

Restored 0.77.1 from Time Machine, that shows the same. I'm sure someone would have noticed, so shall we assume it's Big Sur for the moment and just put this aside and move on?

Tried 0.76.4, same result, and is the earliest I have in TM now. Apparently installing Big Sur was a large enough change it cleared out my older backups.
