I always close my laptop (MBP 2011 with Sierra) with Usenapp (Version 0.76.4 (Build 185) ) open just putting the display down, so the Mac stops. When I restart it, raising the display, Usenapp does not refresh all the subscriptions, and I must close and re-open the app in order to get all the new messages.
Do you need a log or a video that shows this strange behavior?

I don't have Sierra running on my laptop, so it's kind of hard to tackle this, but a video might help to see what is going on.

Catalina (on my laptop) works fine 🙂

Just to say I've seen this in both Catalina and now Big Sur too, sometimes Usenapp doesn't recover from a sleep and even though the auto "get latest" counter keeps hitting zero nothing is fetched. "Queue" shows "Download" for all connection threads. A Cancel and retry works (I remember you pointed that out to me to try), or of course a restart of Usenapp. It doesn't happen all the time, but I'll try and catch a video as well.

I have seen a similar thing with Mojave on my Mac Pro when I leave Usenpp Open for several hours with nothing downloading and the Rules Window closed. It will show all Subscriptions waiting to be updated but just sitting there.

Network detection has been added in v0.77.
Is this after-sleep issue fixed now?

Haven't seen it happen with 0.77, even after intentionally sleeping and waking a few times. Fingers crossed, I'll keep an eye on it.

Worked on.
The problem was caused by the round progress bar indicator in the subscriptions view.
I subclassed it to make it coloured white when selected. The QuartzCore method that was used to make it white was causing the CVDisplayLink crashes. It really took some time to figure that one out 🙂

Checking for the network status doesn't seem reliable on "Sierra" and "High Sierra".
I'll work on another solution.

In v0.78 a lot has been changed and fixed.
I don't have Sierra installed on a laptop and I cannot test this, but please let me know how it goes with v0.78.
If the problem still exists then I have some other ideas to try.

I am having partial freezes now if I leave it on overnight, the subscriptions are just sitting in the queue, all I have to do is download anything or click on 'Get Latest' or 'Get More' and the app wakes up.

This is probably caused by a network interruption during the night.
I'll add a mechanism to handle this correctly, later on.

Please make a separate thread with a "bug" tag for this issue so I won't 'forget' it.

Yeah, I believe most bugs are being fixed now.
The one reported by MrBill is more like a 'beauty flaw', but will be taken care of later on.
