Would it be possible to assign default identites to newsgroups? E.g. when posting to newsgroup A use identity A and when posting to newsgroup B use identity B.
Unfortunately not.
What you can do is create a bunch of identities and in the composer window manually choose one before hitting the send button.
... but giving it a second thought it might be possible. I'll see what I can do.
In the mean time I suggest you use the above method.
Yes, that’s what I’ve been doing... but I sometimes forget to choose. If it was possible to Get Info for or Edit a newsgroup and then select a default identity that would be ideal.
I'll try to add something in the Preferences.
Just finished adding this feature to v0.74.
Identities can be set per Subscription. Also a default Identity can now be set and selected.
