Why is this (and other) posts from the resident lunatic not deleted?
That rule worked fine until a few days ago.

I just created the same rule and works fine.
Is your rule not working when applying to existing messages or for new downloaded messages?

However, I noticed that there is an issue when applying "delete" rules in un-grouped thread mode.
When applying such a rule (pressing the Apply button) then the headers are deleted from the database, but not from the view. This has been fixed in the next update.

For newly downloadad messages. Haven´t tried on existing ones but will do so if I encounter another one.

I don't see any issues for newly downloaded messages.

Perhaps the rule got damaged with all the lately conversions.
You can try to recreate the rule and see how it goes.

BTW. What is the "last used" value for the rule? Is it been used in the last few days?

Startet up Usenapp and last used is right now. Seems to be working. No idea why that post slipped through the cracks. I let you know when it happens again.

Ok. This is odd. I too have, or had, Arlen Holder filtered out. I just set it up Poster Contains Arlen Holder and it worked. I saw the above example and thought I'd try the References Contains Arlen Holder. That didn't work so I went back and changed it what I had before, saved it, and applied it to all of the subscribed to newsgroups. Still didn't work. All of the other filters I have for the "followers" of Arlen Holder are filtered out so I'm confused.

Please note the this person is using several msg-id domains.
The above rule only filters one.

You've to create a rule for all msg-id's filter them all.

Don´t try to filter that idiot by name, he is constantly changing it in subtle ways.
Maybe he changed lower case l (el) to upper case I for instance, so you don´t see a difference.

The filter works again so I'm not sure what it going on. Probably operator error 😅. I'll go ahead and try the MessageID and see how that works.

Here is another one:

"mixmin" is clearly contained in References, but it still slipped through the rules somehow.
(In case it´s relevant: the posts where downloaded automatically when starting Usenapp).

Would it be possible to create rules based on the whole content of the header?
E.g. "header" contains...

The rules are used on the XOVER header which is not the entire header as in your post.

I'll try to fix this issue asap.

I've been testing with that Rule many times, but it never failed.

Can you remove the rule and create it again? Maybe it got corrupt.
