It would be more correct to say: Article has not been sent. Your message will be lost if you close the window. Are you sure you wish to close the window?

Another suggestion: there is a choice about how the signature for a new article is chosen (random, etc). At the moment the choice is defined based on identity. Could there also be a default based on Subscription?

I am afraid not, but you can add as many signatures as you like and name them to the subscription.
Then in the composer window you can choose the desired signature from the pull down menu.
