v0.72 is released today and supports dark mode.

The MainMenu Panel color now follows the app's color theme (light or dark).

Minor nit, but if I have it set to go with the system settings and go from light to dark it does, in fact, go to dark, but the widget on the top moves to show it being in light mode. So it takes a whole single extra click if I want to change it with that. And not likely many people will run into this... certainly not a top priority.

At the moment the system API to get the color settings doesn't seem much reliable.
For that reason the option to follow the system setting has been removed in v0.72.2 and will hopefully return at a later time.

For me, other than that minor nit, the system settings worked. Still, I rarely switch back and forth so not a big deal for me.
