Next Unread Article selection before and after an auto 'get latest headers'

The Next Unread Article keypress after the 'get latest headers' happens doesn't appear to always be the next unread. I haven't quite worked it out, but it doesn't always step to the next unread which might be the very next article after the one I'm in. Perhaps it resets to the first unread rather than the next one according to what's visible in the Articles pane? But sometimes it does go to the next unread one down.

I've been playing with this, but I couldn't reproduce this behaviour.
Maybe this happens when not all articles are finished processing?
I'll keep an eye on it.

What I observe that may be related, is that if I have a set of articles showing, non-grouped, then the selected article is displayed below and corresponds to it. However, when some new articles come in, the selected post no longer corresponds to the article displayed below.

I am no able to reproduce this issue.

You say non-grouped, but do you have "hide read" enabled when this happens?
And does this happen when you hit the "Get Latest" button, or when the subscription is updated by the timer?

I don't know what the trigger conditions are, but I was reading the article 4 below the now-highlighted one when new articles arrived on the timer.

Hmmm, seems not to be happening at the minute; I'll keep an eye on it.

Following your suggestion of the other day, I use non-grouped now, with hide-read set. In this mode, articles that I have read stop being listed in bold (which is good) and stay there until I click on another subscription.

Oh and I meant to ask - is there a key for "Next subscription with unread articles" ?
