Works great for text groups. I scoot through groups quickly, and the occasional server hiccup where I just get a spinner while waiting for a body download is surprisingly annoying.
I'd suggest options something like
"For this subscription
- [X] always fetch bodies when getting new headers
- [X] but only under [50] lines"
That makes it useful for binary groups too, to let you just fetch nfo and the tiny par2 files.
